I would advise you to stay away from LiteSTEP until you can manage to read as much info as you can possibly find on the subject. LS is a "SHELL" replacement, and can cause you serious grief if you don't know what you're doing.

i don't know who you are or what your problem is, but this is the first time i've posted here pal. and in order to learn anything about a program, it requires hands on experience, trust me i'm no newbie when it comes to computers. but problems with a program that i've never used and can't find any way to fix it requires help from someone that knows a bit more than i do.

I appologize.......... I had you confused with another new member. That's why I tried to edit the comment before you read it. I really meant no dis-respect. But what I said about reading up on LS stands. Follow the links near the top of the library page, and read all you can.

i'm sure this information is located somewhere in the boards, but i'm very busy and don't have the time to look through all of them. back to the reason...how do i install logons?

Hence my confusion.....

also at the top of the message boards here is a litestep help thread. in it are links to the newest version of litestep as well as much documentation on how it works . but to answer your question OTS2 is the newest build of litestep. many of the older skins are not set up to run on this new version of litestep. as time passes more themes will be updated ..also once u get familiar on how litestep works, you can yourself can take a theme you like and update it for your own personal use. if it comes out working well then u may ask the themes author if you can post an updated version of it , to share with others. litestep is a open source code product. but the images used in the theme,s arent and u must have permission to distribute them.... i hope this has answered your question as well as a few others in advance .

Koasati is still correct, however.....learn to RTFM before seeking answers as there are more questions than you can imagine when dealing with complex shell replacements.

Suggesting you keep away from LiteSTEP is a salient point if you are as yet unaware of the differences between earlier versions of LiteSTEP and the more modern OTS and OTS2 versions.
