Bootskin no logo at all now

I loaded bootskin onto my pooter and now when I restart, the monitor doesn't get any signal until it is booting up the desktop. It's weird. Can anyone help? Win XP.

Is it doing this with every skin you use or one skin in particular?

It was doing it to every skin I tried since then I've even uninstalled the software and There's still no signal. Not even the text when it counts the RAM.

Ramsey269,,,,if you are not seeing the 'post' messages on boot then your graphic card and/or moniyor are failing to produce/register the default VGA signal [640x480].

The only time I've seen that is with a Fixed-frequency monitor which is incapable of resolutions below 1024x768 without a special graphic card & driver.

This problem you are having could be hardware based...

did it not show the text at boot before installing bootskin? is a good question to see if its hardware based

I was seeing the POST messages up until the time I went to reboot to see the new bootskin. I even tried hooking my pooter up to a new monitor, which makes me think this issue is software or firmware or kernel related. But not sure what I can check or change to if not make it work atleast get my PC back to normal.

have you looked in your bios to see if anything looks funny?

software or firmware or kernel related

You are using Bootskin? Bootskins doesn't change any system files. If the problem is happening before WindowXP is loaded then it is probably hardware or bios related. Does you MB have an option to change to a full screen initial boot logo vs. looking at text? If so is that where you tried to change your boot screen?

figured it out it was more of a firmware driver Windows XP kinda thing. Thanx for keeping me on the right track. You all are awesome and this program rocks! thanx again for the support.
