This site looked ok, reall cool, and ok again?,

Hey all,

ive just moved to a new country, and when i visited this site, is was real cool looking, blue kinda style, and i thought, wow, this looks great, they've redone the website. Then i visit again the next day, and its back to its old look?
Ive left it for a week or two, and visit nearly everyday, but its still the same.
Did you not like the new look, or is it a problem my end?

Great site though guys, rocks man!
Would love to see more dual walls.

Hey dude, while your in the helping mood,
when-ever i load a skin, all is well, but when i look at the preview of one, i notice that a box appears for the 'shutdown, restart, stand by".
When ever i click my start button, shut down, i just get a skinned window, and not the "groovy" box?
Is this something that doesnt work with windowblinds?
and if so, what programe do you need for this?

Cheers again dude, i swear no more dumbass questions!
Im a moderator of a website myself, so i know it can get anoting!

Styl... I can't tell left from right either..

offi... If you're using the Shareware version of WindowBlinds, some things won't be skinned. That "groovy box" is one of them.

groovy box? you mean the shut down standby sleep box? it gets skinned and i have the shareware version that i downloaded off stardock.

just that some skins dont cover the "groovy box" while others do.

if it shows it skinned, it should be skinned. if not, then talk to the skinner or author of the skin. k gotta go, i have class, be back in 2 hours.

ok, just realised something. When i look at the preveiw, and it shows the start menu when its active (like youve pressed start) the preview shows "log off, and turn off computer" at the bottom. when i press MY start button, i get "log off and shut down"?

Does this have anything to do with it?
Us girlies aint to clever at this stuff!

Problem found: What operating system are you using? The "groovy box" only gets skinned in xp.

I haven't used the Shareware for a long, long time, but I thought that was one of the things that aren't skinned. Maybe you got lucky.....

Hmm. Dunno what the problem is then. Is there an area in "user overrides" that prevents this from being skinned?
not that i can tell?

Nothing changed it, and loaded over 5 more skins, all the same, a normal "skinned" shut down, restart, stand by" window.

holy shit, thats a long thread!

Well, if ya need any help, ive built myself 3 PC's in China (where i just moved to), and im pretty good with problems ect...
Choice of cpu would be Xp3000, price and performance. ddr400, 1024mb, nice and fast, and a quality mobo, to many to choose.

But beware, the next 2 months are gonna change the way we use a pc BIG TIME! Athlon xp64's (64 bit computing, with 64bit opperating systems, programes ect)

Tough time to be building, but thats what i have just built.
(the xp300, 400ddr) sweet!

Sorry for going off the subject!

its alright, see prob is that i dont have enough spare cash for the xp 64's. are they any better than the p4s that are out right now?
Yes they are better at some things imo. But I have found my p4 to be rock hard stable. I am not sure of AMD's stability nowadays.
ok ,thanks but i think im sticking with the athlon xp because of price.

I would probably get one too.
