I can't find a sysmetrix skin called projetmo1. Is this the name of the sysmetrix you are having problems with? It would be helpful in the future if you gave a link to the skin, so people trying to help you could check it out.

At any rate, there is no language plugin for sysmetrix, so there are only two ways that a different language could show up in sysmetrix. The first would be if you changed the language settings on your whole computer using Control Panel. I kind of doubt that happened since you are only complaining about one skin.

The second way is that the author used a language other than English in the generic text settings. This text can be changed by you to any text in any language you want very easily through the Sysmetrix configuration dialogue.

Open the configuration dialogue, and in the left hand panel, click on Textual Information. The center panel will then show all elements of the skin that use text. Click on each one that has foreign text in it.

Then look at the right panel. The tenth line from the top, or third line from the bottom has 2 boxes for Prefix and Postfix. In the white boxes next to those words is where you would find the foreign text. Change it to anything you want.

Then go back to the center panel and click on the next text element you wish to change. Repeat this process until everything is the way you want it. Then make sure you save the theme before hitting the Exit button.

Hope this helps you. Please return to this thread if you have any more questions.

Maybe the author created a background and placed french text in it. If this is the case, then you can't change it without editing the background bitmap itself. This is the only way, unless you have a french font already on your system. Or, if the Author included a french font and you installed it.

I'm glad you got the problem with the language in your sysmetrix fixed. No need to be embarassed at all about not knowing how to post a link. None of us were born knowing how to do these things. I learn new things every day.

To post a link on this message board is quite simple. Simply highlight the link in your address bar, right-click and select 'Copy', then right-click in the message form and select 'Paste'. The message board will automatically insert the Link symbols in your message when you hit the Submit button.

If you want to link to a specific skin, you can go to the page of that skin by left-clicking on the skin name, then, after the page changes, do the copy and paste that I just described.

You can also right-click on the skin name anywhere you find it here on WC, select 'Copy Shortcut' and then right-click in the message form and select 'Paste'. This will save you the step of going to the actual skin page.

Skin links here will have this format (ignore the spaces):

h t t p: // w w w.wincustomize.com/skins.asp?library=28&SkinID=1231

The library= number will change depending on the type of skin, (Example 1 is Windowblinds, 28 is Sysmetrix) and the SkinID= number will be different for each skin in that library.

Don't be embarassed or afraid to ask questions if you don't know something. Just ask politely, and someone here will be glad to answer.

thank you for the info shameless, you guy's are busy and don't like to bother the pro's of the skinning world. from now I will ask for help instead of fumbleling around. I read some of the post in here first and do a search before I ask. I will step up to the plate and https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.asp?searchtext=projetJM01&sort=updatedate&order=Descending&library=28

Good grief.... I am not worthy... Six months ago I was asking similar questions and some of the REAL pro's here took pity on me and helped me out... I'm just trying to do for others as they did for me... In time, I expect you'll do the same...

And by the way, I'm not a skinner yet... My skins are still in the closet because I'm still learning and not ready to let them out yet. The talent on this site is impressive, and I don't want to upload something until I feel it's worthy.
