Does Fences 5 fix hiding shortcut icons ?

I have used and purchased Fences 2, 3 and 4. All of them I have had issues with shortcuts that I paste on to the desktop hiding behind fences, I have a lot of fences on multiple desktop pages and it can be a nightmare to try and find which ones the shortcuts are hiding behind. Why doesn't it place them where I have the mouse pointer or at worse in an area not hidden behind a fence ? Also in a separate issue, when I move a fence it automatically changes to a rolled up fence even if not before.

Have these been fixed in Fences 5 ? Unless I was the only one this happened to.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. I believe this issue was highlighted previously, and I believe this has been resolved recently. Please do a free 30 days trial on Fences 5 to see if the issue resolved. I tested and it look like, the new shortcut icons appear move away from under the Fences.

Thank you.

Thanks, most of my screen has fences on, with a couple of gaps (I made sure to leave enough space for new pasted shortcuts), so not sure if that will make a difference as your video has a lot of non-fence space. I don't mind if it goes on to a fence, it is just when it goes behind that is annoying. I currently have Fences 4 installed, if I install the trial of 5 and it still doesn't work then how do I go back to 4 ? Thanks.

If you want to return to Fences 4 you just need to uninstall Fences 5, reboot, reinstall Fences 4, reboot again. That should bring back your Fences 4.

Also, do know that you can force all your new icons that come to desktop into a selected Fences of your choice by setting this option.

Excellent, thanks, I had no idea of that rule option, I just tried it and it put the new shortcut icons on a fence I chose, that will make things a lot better. Thank you.
