How to preserve one monitor layout after disconnecting secondary monitors?

Hi. I have automatic layout save enabled, I work with three monitors and have this layout:

When I disconnect the external monitos, the portals I have on them all move to my main monitor, creating a little mess:

I can restore my saved layout for this only monitor, where the other portals don't exist, but then when I reconnect the external monitor, they don't have these portals and  I have to then restore that layout; this is something I do almost daily, is there some way that I could achieve it automatically without having to restore layout manually each time I disconnect/connect external monitors? Thanks!

Windows 11 24H2. Fences 5.86 R8.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Have you tried the troubleshooting steps mentioned in the first post of this thread: https://forums.stardock.com/528229? If you have not yet, please try it and see if it help.

Hi sanmarcha, you'll want to use this option in the Layout panel. It will maintain different layouts when the monitors are plugged vs unplugged.

I see you note "where the other portals don't exist" – so you cannot have a layout where individual groups don't exist in a different monitor config, but you can shrink them or dock them to the edge. When you restore to 3 monitors, that layout will be restored, and likewise when you return to 1 monitor, that layout will be restored. I hope this helps

Thanks! I have that option enabled, and I had in fact tried doing that, but after reconnecting all the monitors, the portals remain only in the one where I made the last modifications and don't return to their original monitor.
