not able to use custom start icon in start 11

When I try to select a custom start button in start 11, the icon doesn't apply, like it literally does nothing

If you are not using the Enhanced Taskbar, you can only apply a custom start button if the taskbar is Left aligned.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Do you also have Stardock Windowblinds installed and applied any WB skin?

Thank you.

You should try running the Windows Update troubleshooter, and see if you can now update.

Your computer may not be compatible with Windows 11.  The i7-7820HQ series CPUs are only supported in very specific circumstances apparently.  The two devices supported are "Dell Precision 5520" and "Surface Studio 2".  There was a Lenovo device which was supported but it looks like support was removed in 2021. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-gb/windows-hardware/design/minimum/supported/supported-systems

This is probably why you cannot update to newer versions of Windows 11.

With regards to the initial issue, a WB skin will override the start button set in Start11 unless you enable the option in WindowBlinds to use the OS start button.

Yea doing what u guys said fixed it but now transparency doesn't work :(

Transparency within Start11 or Windowblinds? If you have Windowblinds skin applied you will need to adjust transparency via Windowblinds.

May I know which WB skin you have on? Also, which area you wish to apply transparency? Taskbar or Start Menu.

If you're looking to have the taskbar without any blur, you can change this setting in Skinstudio. Refer screenshot below.
