A 'stubbie' is a small bottle of beer....the original size was/is 26 oz....so the 'stubbie' is more the size of a Corona...or the size of a coke can...

You're too late. We've culled them all to make way for 'green' projects such as plantation timber forests, huge farms based on outdated, wasteful techniques, uranium mines, coal mines, bauxite mines, dams to supply water-hungry crops such as cotton & rice (!!! in the driest continent on Earth!!!). But their skins make nice throw rugs - although you need a hell of a lot of marsupial mice for a decent doona cover.

We eat our national animals....[just like if the Americans ate Bald Eagles]....but we feed the US tourists to our crocks.

Essencay....Good old Aussieland is a really inviting place.  You name the animal and we have its most deadly example...eg the 'Common Brown snake'....called that because it's so common....not the deadliest but combined with size and aggression is one of THE ones to avoid.....[I had a 2 metre variety try to argue with me on a bike  a few years ago....I was on the bike, not the Brownie].

Spiders, sharks, jellyfish, octopus, snakes, crocks, insects, and Little Johnnie Howard....
