My email address

Instead of posting this on the MSGBD, why don't you email Stardock? I've been here for years and they have my email address and they haven't given it out. So if your getting spam you might want to check with those that have it and also check how many spy ware junk you have on your computer.

Are you sure no one else has that email address? You've never used it for any other purpose? Since the usual way one receives viruses via the common email borne worms (assuming your machine has not been infected) is if someone else has your email address in their address book and they've become infected, then your email is "out there." Also spammers and the spyware folks are now using malware so that's another possible way for info to get out in distribution.

Your email addy here is safe.  My guess is you could very possibly have a mal-ware virus/trojan infection farming your account records.

Never open any attachments unless they are verified to have originated from a trusted source....and confirmed to have been sent by them.

Keep well away from warez, porn and file sharing sites and proggies.

Try an online Virus scan to check for existing infection.

Well my Mail-Online.dk account have been bombed with the latest viruses about 10 each day, and that mail account is only public known here and on my own website. My two other mail accounts have gone free. I doubt heavily that Stardock has sold it, I believe that spammers/hackers/virus writers/Microsoft haters/linux morons etc. searched every corner of the web for e-mail adresses, and might have stumbled across this site too. How hard can it be to program a little app that looks for e-mail adresses on websites? I know of several sites that don't write the e-mail adress and the "@" character, but instead places a gif-image so they won't get spammed etc. Maybe Stardock could learn from that. Check this link out, even though it's in Danish (you can view it in English), you'll still see that the e-mail is indeed a gif-image: http://www.dtu.dk/
