Microsoft plus!

which version of windows? i am using winxp home sp1 and have plus installed and have no issues

Same here on Windowx XP Pro, have Plus!, SP1 and DesktopX and it runs without a hitch.

microsoft plus is a series of small programs, not something that runs continuously. i don't see how it could cause a conflict unless you had a problem with one thing in particular.

i dunno somehow i cannot get it going!! the thing is this is my new pc and i copied my old desktopx here on the new one. i guess there is some problem while loading it or may be i need to buy it again

I have windows xp home and my dx is 2.1 Does anyone have an older working version that i can borrow....pleeeeeaaasssseeee. And yes i did copy the folders and put them in the new pc. why what was i supposed to do....was i supposed to reinstall this again from somewhere?? now i am defining a blonde am i not

I believe if you still have the original account info and serial when you first bought it...you can just download it again from stardock

To be honest i dont. i do have the software from online but dont have a serial...whats that serial thingy..my old pc didnt need it. my brother gave me the pc with all that in the pc. is the serial like the upc barcode or something??

The serial is something that stardock sends you when you buy the program. Ask your brother for it. If not then you are stuck because you have to install it for it work right.

no...have you tried contacting stardock, explaining your situation and giving them the original purchasing details?

I wonder how many people still think copying a folder installs a program of this caliber and deleting the folder uninstalls it. I have known people that 'uninstalled' Norton by deleting the folder. Ever tried to re-install it then or upgrade to a newer version (not speaking of the neat messages when starting windows...) ?

However, Jalwaak I think if You want to use DesktopX, You will have to buy it and install it the right way.

c242 - possibly prior Mac users would have an excuse for thinking such heresy about how easy it might be to install/remove something? On the other hand, I've even known people just copy the desktop shortcut and wonder why their progam doesn't work on the new machine

Had that with a friend and a game. It fitted a nice handy diskette (NFS 3).

I have a number of proggies that I do just that with....and it works just fine....[assuming you know what you are doing].

Main one is ZtreeWin.....a 32bit revision/improvement to XtreeGold....and one heck of a handy proggy, too....

Basically none of you guys can help!! i did try the trial version...it just dosent work...keeps giving me the error message. And by the way sorry for not knowing how to install and uninstall things...see i am not a comp geek as girls dont usually get into comps...ask me to crunch numbers in finance and i can make you sweat like a stinky pig!! And whoever said i will be exhiled...go take a hike...let me see who does what..good for nothing short lenth guys. Arent there any men around here! >
