SysMetrix, Rainlendar, Rainmeter

Hello All
Can someone explain to me the difference and similarities in these programs. I keep seeing Sysmetrix 'with raineys'. Also some Sysmetrix skins have weather data encorporated into them. Does the Rainmeter have to be installed on your system for the weather data in your Sysmetrix to show up or is sysmetrix simply a program that duplicates some of the functionality of the 'Rainy' programs? Probably a DQ [ dumb question] but my eyes are getting blurry from reading and looking for posts that might address this. Also, please excuse if I posted this in the wrong section but Sysmetrix and the 'Raineys' are not stardock products I don't think so the 'general' tab seemed approp. Thank You all in advance

All of those programs are independent from each other, and they dont need to be install together for the others to function.
Rainlendar is just a interface calendar. SysMetrix is a little more compleate program since it holds a lot of read-out information about your PC performance along with time, date, weather, media player control and few other info.
I have not use Rainmeter, but from what I have research, it does the same work as SysMetrix.
The reason why you see some SysMetrix skins uploaded with Rainlendars, is due to the fact that WinCustomize does not host a library for Rainlendar (yet) so artists will load matching raineys skins along with their SysMetrix.

Thank You Apocalypse for your answer. One more question. Do the desktop X objects i.e. the weather objects need the rainmeter or sysmetrix programs to work correctly? I am a little confused as some of these programs seem to overlap in their functions. And last question, with your kind indulgence. Is there a pdf version of the desktop x tutorial? I am reading the one online but would like to print one out to study. Thank you in advance

I dont have nor have used DX, so I cant give you any information about the program.
Maybe someone else can give you some input in regards to this or you can email stardock support and get all the information directly from them

you should be able to print that one. look for a "print page button" when the printer config utility pops up look for a "print all linked documents button" .. that should print all the coresponding pages of the manual..its been quite a while since i printed any thing, but this is how i remember doing it ..
