I cant get the color of one of the bootskins to come up right

which bootskin?

Make the main picture with the progress bar on it, then cut the progress bar from that and save it seperately
That way both palettes are the same

I down loaded the vintage boot skin and it will not show up right when i boot my comp and i was wondering if any one could help

I just maybe that the preview image that the author posted was made prior to converting it to a 16-color image that bootskin uses. It does misrepresent what the bootskin would look like on your computer and authors should be creating their previews jpg's from the 16-color image, not the other way around

I thought of that so is there any way i can make it show up the way it is cause right now when i but my comp you cant make what it looks like heh

Not really anything you can do, you should tell the author though

If you want to show us what it looks like...open up the bootskin file with WinZip (it's just a renamed zip file), c0py the bmp and upload it somewhere on the internet with a link here and we'll be able to see it

but every one else said it shows up and looks good thats the part that gets me is i just bought this comp yester day and thes not a thing wrong with it.
