Argh. Im pretty new to this skinning game and i wish to take the time to enjoy it. however one thing seems to ruin it. margins...at least i think
i start with a plain xp skin. i change the start button to a single frame one which skinstudio duplicates. thats great. now the problem is the start button isnt centre on the screen. its at the top left. ive ticked every box, tried looking at other peoples skins, tried typing in anything i could think of in the code section and still it remains the same. so in short how can i centre this and other buttons on the taskbar and titlebar etc.

Try creating a new skin using the default Luna Template or use one that has similar graphic sizes, and work with that one. When you change it, save it under a new name. The margins and setup should be correct. Also remember, most buttons(I.E. Start Button) have frame states.

Note: If you choose to use a premade skin template, do not use the graphics in it for your skin unless it is for personal use, or you have written permission, if you plan to upload it.
