Getting started in IconDeveloper

I just purchased IconDeveloper Pro. I now know how to import images, export them as various sizes as icons, then import them back into an icon library. Now, how do you assign a 'task' to an icon in the icon library instead of having a collection of random icons? Each icon has to have a 'task' in order for Windows to assign the proper image to the proper icon.

IconDeveloper does not assign or change icons. To do that you will need to use IconPackager. IconDeveloper is just what it's name implies. It's a tool for creating icons. It does not apply them to your system.

I believe you can assign icons to your heart's content with the free/shareware version of IconPackager but you can't save your icons in a distributable "package" which is the primary limitation on most of Stardocks's shareware versions of everything... or so I believe.

Hope I've been helpful.
