Hey i've been wondering if its 1280 x 1024 or 1280 x 960?? Please help

Both are viable resolutions. The 1280 x 1024 is more popular now and suits many of the larger monitors with a 5:4 aspect ratio. 1280 x 960 is better suited for some of the 17-inch monitors (among others) which still use the 4:3 format.

1280x960 is a little wider - its a suprising notable difference on some monitors that are 4-3.

ps 1600x1200 is the way to go if you want to get serious work done!
