As much as I LOVE WindowBlinds (and a couple of others - I've subscribed to Object Desktop), it IS getting rather expensive. @ "like 45$" (49.95) A YEAR, I've done it for 3 years now (4th is coming up soon.) and starting to realize that it/they'll have to be 'finished' eventually. Hopefully this yearly fee will a bit then?

Actually, it's only $34.95 to renew your subscription, and frankly I still think it's a bargain at that price. Think about it, you get the latest and greatest updates as they occur including new features as well as fixes for equal to or less than the price you pay to upgrade other software once a year or every other year at most.

For the most part OD is a great program and as Shameless Designs mentioned, it is quite a bargain at that price (even with the upgrades)
I've found my self purchasing programs worth 100's of dollars and then shell another $60-80 in upgrades within a year.
But it's not an issue of 'don’t fix it if it's not broken' As demands from consumers and the ever growing need to add new things, developers must keep up with the latest features.
The fact that some people (my self included) don’t use or will never use all of the features, does not mean that everyone else is not going to use them.
As a consumer, a person will upgrade according to his/her needs.

And if it isn't broke, then you don't need to resubscribe to ODNT. That's one of the really brilliant things about the way that OD has been marketed, in my opinion. At the end of the term of your subscription, you'll still have the software at the level it reached at the end of the subscription. You just won't have access to new developments. And in the meantime, you've had not only your original purchase, but a year's worth of free upgrades.

But when I consider how much has changed and improved with OD in the past year, it's a no-brainer for me... I'll renew, if for no other reason than to see what comes next.

Pennsylvania...I deliver to stores and fill machines...65 accounts in all...takes me about 2-3 hours a night...been doing it 16 years.
