the site looks messed up, the top part of the menu has moved to the right... wierd, try fixing that and maybe you will get more bids?

its a bit aged version but it will probably be going out anyway, money really isn't the issue but maybe I can make someone happy with it. Got a nice conversation yesterday with a fellow skinner (or should that be company) witch made me decide to update my site ASAP. I am working togheter here with another guy 24 hours a day to get it up so it shouldn't take that long.

cool, hey you wanna make someone happy?

/me looks at styl with puppy eyes.

just joking.

the thing that is wrong with your site at the moment is that every image is centered. check out your link and see what i mean.

caused by low resolution or not viewing in full screen. could easily be fixed by a little java or putting it into a table. I might do that If I don't have any seriouse offers before sunday and put it up on my new site as a template or for sale.

yeah, jsut sell it as a template, you will get a lot more money then and maybe even wire me some? j/k

an advice: before somebody decides wether to invest money or not, check how the site looks in different browsers.
the layout is messed up in Mozilla/FireFox/Netscape.
and here´s a nice service to check how your site looks in Safari (probably interesting as you consider yourself as a professional, and many people in the real design world use Macs): http://www.danvine.com/icapture/
result: http://capture.danvine.com/results/83199.png

just a guess: was this site made with Frontpage?

Moshi, I do indeed considder myself a professional. This is also one of the reasons why I am trying to get rid of the site. It was created in macromedia dreamweaver but it uses I-frames. (a technologie created by microsoft... no wonder it dasn't work )
So now and then, when I have the possibity, I also work with a mac and I noticed that it isn't looking good on it.

I am willing to (get the site) re-coded using a table, however this I can't do if the offer is low. Also it takes more bandwith then and 2 years ago I simply didn't have those recourses.

The new site design is going to be very minimalistic, showing my portfolio and a short background about styl-x.

Just because "Some" designers use a Mac, it does not mean those that don't are not pro's.

Dark Mist: not at all. it´s just that most companys try to keep their websites compliant with all web browsers and platforms (so does Styl skinner by abandoning the old layout). when you work in design and your website does not work on a Mac that´s like saying "i have no experience in Photoshop, but PaintShop Pro is just as good" in a job interview
Reply #10 Top
PaintShop Pro IS just as good....particularly when so many fail to master either....then there's no difference at all....

you can think about PSP whatever you want. just try to say that in a job interview. will produce even more laughs than this:
..particularly when so many fail to master either....then there's no difference at all...

which is still a good one. and sadly true

DM, its sad but true, most designers use mac. I don't, can't skin it as good as windows
