i would wonder if i could find something that would confuse someone trying to access my computer. somthing that would show or act like the computer was failing or rebooting

Hmm, something like a screensaver with a blinking c:\ prompt or something?

Someone actually made a logon screen with text that said something like initialization failed, please reboot. It was made to fool his sister. Maybe a black screen with those words without a password box. The password box should show when Alt-D e l e t e or ctrl-D e l e t e is pressed. It could be interesting to design, but I'm busy with the GUIO. You could try searching the logon section for his idea.

Alternate shells will confuse people admirably....if you are mad enough try my LiteSTEP theme...Commodore 64.....that will get them worrying....at least...
