Tabs not working

Fences 6 Tabs not working

I just purchased and installed the latest version of Fences 6. I had to install twice and reboot twice. When I try to create tabs from existing fences, all that happens is the fence I drag onto the other fence just covers it up. So now I have two fences in the same place but one is obscured by the other.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Refer to my short video. Notice when you click and drag over the tabs on top of each other there is a popup message "Drop to Create tab group" appear and when you release the mouse, there is a menu open up with "Create tab group" and "Cancel" appear. Does all these appear while you tried, grouping those Fences?

If not, we need more information on your system.

  1. Windows full version and OS Build number. Please use Winver.exe.
  2. Fences full version number installed.
  3. Also check it the tabs option: Enable creating new tabs turn on. Refer screenshot below.

Oddly enough, it's working now without the purge, but there are some fences it doesn't work with. If I create new folder fences, I can set up tabs, but with earlier ones I set up, it won't work. The differences seem to be that the earlier fences I set up, I used the shift key to position them very accurately.

I experienced exact the same issue until I doubleclicked the tabs to stay open and then moved them over each other to group them. This worked for me. Have a go at it!

Even the old ones are working now. I have no idea what changed. I haven't rebooted more than twice and it wasn't working on the last reboot. The only thing that I can say has changed is the old tabs have been moved and snapped into position. So maybe it was that the old tabs were positioned using the shift key.
