help, problem with desktopX

hey everyone

well, a while ago i installed desktopX and i liked it, but then i got tired of it, so i uninstalled it and now that its uninstalled, its like windows isnt really recognizing the start menu bar thingy at the bottom. i can click on it and stuff and it performs the functions its supposed to, but when i go to maxamize a window it ends up covering the bar thing and its kind of irritating. i was wondering if any of you knew how to fix it...?? if you can help it would be greatly appreciated!

If the 'Bar Thingy' is the Taskbar, then right click on it and click Properties/Keep Taskbar on Top of Other Windows......
