Why does WindowsBlinds make my taskbar too fat?

I'm on Windows 11

As you can see in the screenshot below, the taskbar is almost twice the height it usually is (I don't know if it's that chonky start menu button causing it) but it seems no matter what theme I choose, they all look ugly like this. 
I don't have any other customisation apps installed other than WindowsBlinds - it's on stock Windows 11, fully updated.

I'm frustrated because I used to love WindowsBlinds but since I last used it years ago, it seems... disappointing?

Well, by sheer chance, after days of "trying everything" I found the solution. \o/ 

I had my taskbar set to auto-hide. I've turned that off and it looks the way it should, now.

Sorry to hear you are having issues. Glad to know you have a workaround it. But, for me this is what I get on my Windows 11 system with Windowblinds Aero11 skin applied. Perhaps, something in your Start11v2 settings if you have it running. Let us know, if you wish to work on it.
