Since you purchased Fences 3 through Steam, you’ll need to get the newer version from Steam as well. Stardock does occasionally offer special discounts on Steam, so it’s worth keeping an eye out for promotions there.

Functionally, the Steam release of Fences 6 is identical to the direct Stardock version, so whichever option you choose you’ll get the same features and updates. If you’d like to test it first, you can also try the 30‑day free trial available from Stardock’s website—your experience will be the same as the Steam version.
