I have talked a while ago with dimitri (the owner of tgt soft) About the law suite with stardock and he did had a good story (just as stardock, don't get me wrong).
So anyway, now I am really intrested in who won. The law suite is already over not?

I do not find this to be an appropriate subject for this board. Seems to me this would be a private matter.

And why is that, it was announced on the board that TGT Soft filed a law suit against Stardock. Don't you think that it should be announced on the board whow on?

Lets say this, DONT POST YOUR OPINION ABOUT THE SUBJECT!

so, now we can just wait till we know who won.

Yes, any information relating to it will be handled by official news release. Anything here will only lead to idle speculation, and no doubt 2nd hand rumor, and the compulsory WC flame war that these things always degrade into.

That was announced by Stardock themselves.
If there's anything to be said regarding the issue, then they will post again.

It looks like the lawsuit is going to be settled out of court. The exact details are being worked out but Stardock is satisfied with the proposed settlement.

Stardock's position remains the same: Companies who want to use our formats have to license them from us.  Much like skins and ports - you have to get the skin author's permission to port them.  TGT Soft's lawsuit asked the court to make a declaratory judgement that it could use our formats without our license.

BTW, if this had "gone to court" the "winner/loser" of this wouldn't be something that could be posted for years because intellectual property lawsuits can take years and years to go through the system. This was relatively early in the dispute.

There will be an announcement when the settlement is completed.
