When it's installed put your Reg info (serial#s) is the noted areas and install your program(s) from there.Stardock Central (which is what you're installing) is pretty straight forward so you should be able to use it with few problems.....needless to say if that's not the case, then come on back

I think starblonde signed up for a Wincustomize subscription (noted 2 years earlier), not Object Desktop.

That is correct, mrtee, I did sign up for the 2 year Wincustomize subscription. I have just uninstalled everything again and am about to follow the link that yrag showed.

Wincustomize subscription does give you full unlimited downloads, chat and a couple of premium suites. But, it doesn't include the full version of windowblinds or any of the other programs. It may be better to get Windowblinds for the same price as the Wincustomize browser instead. That way you would have the full version of windowblinds and unlimited downloads. Or better yet, I would have got Object Desktop. It saves money on the whole, and it includes almost everything that the site has to offer. The Wincustomize browser is basically just a cute addon, if you just want unlimited downloads. It sounds to me that you are more interested in the programs. Object Desktop includes the programs Windowblinds, DesktopX, Iconpackager, ObjectBar, and many others. It is ultimately the way to go. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

You don't need to uninstall anything if you are still using the shareware versions. I understood that you had purchased a full version of Windowblinds or the Object Desktop Suite of programs. You don't need to uninstall anything to use the Wincustomize browser.

Lol I already uninstalled & reinstalled everything. I suppose it would be more accurate to say that I misunderstood what I was getting with the 2 year subscription. I thought I was getting the full version of the windowblinds. But, I have now paid the fee, can I change that? If so, how? It is quite late now, I have to work in the morning. So, I am going to call it a night. I will check back tomorrow evening. I appreciate the help very much. Hope I don't drive everyone nuts. Have a great night all.

Tell them that you thought you were getting at least windowblinds and you found out differently on the messageboard. Ask them if you could change your purchase to windowblinds. Or you could ask them for credit towards Object Desktop and then give them the balance. This would be the way to go. In all my years of surfing the net and working with computers, I have never seen a better set of customizing software. I'm sure we would all like to hear their response to your dilemma. They have always been quite helpful and understanding to their new paying customers.

I have to say...when I had computer problems and lost almost everything...Stardock was incredibly accomodating in listening to my questions...answering them and getting me back into the swing of it......they are absolutely wonderful at helping straighten out any problems you might encounter...

and the folks here at Wincustomize as you know by now...are some of the best and most helpful people on the web...and the talent is astounding!....you're gonna be straightened out and enjoying the most beautiful artwork in short order hun! Don't worry!!!

Wow, I am about to the point that I would gladly pay the extra for object desktop just to continue to be able to communicate with all of you! That in itself would be well worth it to me. I sent them an email this morning. I will post what happens as soon as I know anything. Honestly, I have never visited a more welcoming message board community. Thanks to all!!!!!!!

Na, I don't think it has anything to do with that. I think the enthusiasm of starblonde, and interest in the site, and the compliments towards the assistance, and the fact that she is actually trying to buy something to support the site instead of leeching and complaining, are the assets that are influencing me. I personally could care less what she looks like.

She is the type of member that could definitely help the site. Now, Starblonde, please download all my skins twice.

News Flash: Update about the on-going starblonde13 saga....
I received an email today which told me they had switched every thing to the windowblind full version and all is well!! Endless thanks to all on the board. Great people here.
