A question about iconpackager...

Grrr, I did for just a minute. I was trying to look at one of the painting in the larger format and got locked out again. From what I saw he was a truly gifted human!!

Hi Helen....I finally got to see some of George's work. I very much like the Stormy Sea painting it is very powerful. I tried to go to the second page you've created for George, but got locked out as well.

I guess you subscribed but only DL`d a few Icon Packs in the 2 years of the subscription ? Or is your subscription still in effect ? I do recall the IconPack library was down several days sometime in the last few weeks.

I can''t venture a guess why you lost your IconPacks but I will point out that I believe you can lift the DL limitation (for 1 year) by buying even the most inexpensive Stardock program and then cross-referencing your Stardock account to here.

As far as fairness, I got so "turned on" by this stuff that I didn''t mind coughing up the $20 which I know has different values for different people. It has to cost something to run this site and I all I can say is that it''s a very good value for me.

As far as my subscription ...I am a new scbscriber and as I told you I had managed to download two icon sets...well,they are gone and no more downloading is permitted.as concerns the two suites that are offered to us, I downloaded them but I could not install them ..tried and tried... but nothing..so I gave up....
I absolutely agree with you about this site...it is an amazing site with faboulous authors that offers us amazing things....I quite agree that it costs us nothing and we have as many skins we desire...the pc general icon has changed so beautifully with all those goodies that wincustomize gives us...

Reading between the lines, I think perhaps Helen is referring to the icon packages which were available as "extras" on a few occasions through SDC for Object Desktop subscribers. For a time they were listed immediately below the IconPackager line on the Software tab of SDC, but are no longer there. Are those the packages you mean, Helen?

Did you buy IconPackager or any other software from Stardock or are you using the free versions of the programs?

If you bought the programs from Stardock, then you used SDC, which means Stardock Central, to download the programs from Stardock. Stardock Central is also what you should use to download updates for the programs.

To answer your question about why your icon packages you downloaded do not work anymore, we first need to know what version of Icon Packager you are using, and what happens when you try to use those icon packages.

Shameless Designs I am a two year subscriber at wincustomize...that's all...and after I download a set of icons from iconpackager and try to install them afterwards, it says that I have to upgrade to iconpackager and pay for it of course...this happens now....two months ago when I subscribed I was able to download and install my i cons perfectly...but now I realised when I tried to change the icons that do not work anymore ,even those that used to work on my pc...anyway ..as I said it is ok ...but thanks a lot for your interest and help...
By the way I saw your photo in skinners gallery...are you keen on martial arts? I was a few years ago...I can Kung fu....amazing....

A WC subscription gives you unlimited downloads of skins/icons/themes here at WC. It doesn't extend the trial period of any of the shareware programs. It sounds like your IconPackager trial period has ended.

ok...but I think that all the downloads before the end of trial period, should be permanent....
