No....Eastern is ...well Eastern. Daylight Saving and Standard are both called Eastern...so it is always the correct time.

You lost me. When daylight savings comes round here we put our clocks forward one hour. EG my time program is showing USA Eastern as 11.30pm. I think I know what your saying - after an adjustment is made it is still called Eastern. But what is the adjustment.

"Indiana's easternmost five counties are in the Eastern time zone and observe Daylight Saving Time. Indiana's central seventy-seven counties are in the Eastern time zone and do not observe Daylight Saving Time. They stay on standard time year-round. Indiana's westernmost ten counties are in the Central time zone and observe Daylight Saving Time."

I liked that one. Any more like that?

Other then Indiana's strange arrangement, the only other US location that does not change time is American Samoa....

It takes me about 1-2 months to go in/out of daylight savings in my truck. That's about how long it is before I accidently find the right combination of buttons to change the digital clock

As previously mentioned, Daylight savings time is not observed in American Samoa and those counties in Indiana. Arizona also does not observe Daylight Savings Time except for the Navajo Indian Reservation, which does observe it. Hawaii also does not observe DST. Other regions affiliated with the US which do not observe DST include Guam, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands.

Daylight savings time is not observed in ....[snipped]

So what's their reason for not observing DST? All I know that in Queensland (NE Australia) the story (in the other states anyway) was that they refused it because it was fading their curtains too much (all that extra daylight donchaknow!).

Is there anywhere else in the world that has a timezone on the half hour (like South Australia & Northern Territory)?
