Photoshop Initializes, then disappears! HELP!

Ok, I posted this before under the "Microsoft Sucks" subject line, but this is a little more direct and maybe I'll get more of a response. Here's the problem:
Photoshop opens, begins to load all plug-ins, fonts, swatches, brushes, etc (all of which come originally with the program, none were added by me). It says "Initializing" then it just goes away. There is no Photoshop app listed in the Task Manager either, so I know it's not just hidden.
I was told that there was a temp file that needs to be deleted, so if anyone knows a way to fix this, please let me know! Thanks!
