Annoying boxes on start menu and uninstalling software like desktopX etc..

hey people ,
yeah I've got a really anoying problem with my start menu when using certain skins like New Age by Darkmist....once the skin is enabled on my start menu there is anoying black boxes next to all the entrys there....its pissing me off does anyone know how to fix it?

Also i cant uninstall any of the software like DesktopX and Windowblinds (because i want to try and re-install it!). A message appears when i click on the UNWISE...and it sais "could not open INSTAL.LOG file"....so i cant even remove the software from my system for repair >
anyone got any tips or help for me ?

Do you mean that you have black boxes in place of your icons? Did you recently uninstall iconpackager?
Maybe it's a margin problem Try emailing darkmist for further help. He is a good guy.

Are you trying to reinstall through stardock central or through add remove programs. You should do it through stardock central.

oh
well its not iconpackager because its on the right hand side on the other side of the icons lol yeah add remove programs dont work so i'll just use stardock central, thanx you've been a great help...ill try and give darkmist a buzz, perhaps the skin isnt meant to be used in 1024*768

ok thats fine but how do i now uninstall stardock central ?
im currently in an area where i cant use stardock central and its clutering up my system...anyone know how i can remove it? (add/remove programs when i try and uninstall through that it sais "could not open INSTAL.LOG file")

hahaha embarresement i found it :$...its renamed to something else in the add remove program...dw everyone
still if any of you know whats up with the boxes on my start menu then fill me in
