If you wish to remove the account you've created here at WC, you'll have to email T-Man.

Email [email protected]  and he [T-Man] will be able to Delete your account....though having an online presence means you will be 'visible' to a Google search one way or another...the only sure-fire way to never be 'found' is to never get on the net at all...

If you want to remove your account here so that you can get 50MB more downloads, it won't work. The admins are well aware of that ploy.

hmm. even so is there a way to have your account info not show up in a google search? i'm up there on the net nomatter what but, like badger i'm sure many people arn't so easy to find and would appreciate the extra step of not having their name net-able by crawlers.

Also, there are sites where almost everything about you can be found out. I found a ex-gf''s martial status, home address and everything about her. It had nothing to do with her online presense. All you can do is disguise your true identity. This is why I never use my online aliases with my real name. Then, you have spyware and trojans that can find your real name on your computer, and your credit information too if it is stored there. If you ever used your credit card online, the info about it is stored on your computer.

Once, I found a file on my computer with my online alias, my real name, home address, city and telephone number. Sure, I deleted it. But, no one can tell me how it got there. I was only using hotbar at the time. And, I started searching because my hard drive kept getting smaller and fast. It was hotbar that was the culprit. I found a file from them with over 1GB in size. I deleted it and it reappeared and kept growing. Then, I deleted Hotbar. And, Hotbar support just played stupid.

You have to be real careful online. It''s a jungle in here. This is why a good firewall, and virus program are a must.

I did a google search on myself and found the same thing, in addition to an account at xpthemes! It has all the skins I have on here, all my info including my email (which is not visible here). Anyone have an idea how to get rid of that? I don't want to be associated with that site.

I'm not sure that you can. Google caches the info, so even after it's gone, it's still with Google. Also there is a WebArchive site (can't remember the address) that stores info. I pretty much accept, that once I make some info available on the net, there's no taking it back.

MGiff: xpthemes I believe is a sort of WC mirror site owned by Stardock which is why your submissions to WC would show up there. (I think FrogBoy may have once described it as a "back door" to WC...it sounded right when I read it but now I not sure I know what the heck he meant by that. ) The name confuses people since they think of Themexp.org. (Themexp.org claims it doesn't have any business relationship with the TGT StyleXP people, fwiw).

Anyway, somewhere around here there's a link I recently saw to the xpthemes site, to illustrate that it is indeed related to Stardock and WC.

eh, well look on the xpthemes site...at the partners, all the SD products and Froggie''s old posts in the forums (not a high traffic area).

(Meanwhile, following up on my earlier non sequitur [it did not follow but it was not entirely without reason]....)

"No realli! She was Karving her initials øn the møøse with the sharpened end of an interspace tøøthbrush given her by Svenge - her brother-in-law -an Oslo dentist and star of many Norwegian møvies: "The Høt Hands of an Oslo Dentist", "Fillings of Passion", "The Huge Mølars of Horst Nordfink"...
