why did i share that with you?

'cause some punks smashed my car window, stole my stereo, and this is it's replacement. a cheap head unit with an audio jack, an ipod, and lots of crisp sound that comes with me when i get out of the car. i'm just gonna leave the thing unlocked for now on to save myself 165$ windows.

anyone know a good unit with that jack as i've mentioned, and a built in amp? i know the cd players are out there with the jacks on the front/back but i'm looking for just a radio with the jack, or even just the jack ability itself.

we had a shop down here, sell and install your system, then hand your home address off to some punks who would come in the middle of the night and steal it out of the car to re-sell..

when i graduated i got a card. not just any card, a hall mark card

the functions are certainly nice but the interface isn't the best i could imagine. it certainly works well, but i'd prefer one or two clicks to shuffle a library, or change to a new album, without having to look down and slide my thumb around constantly (as this will be used in my car, this is a big deal.. it's like trying to look someone up in your cell phone and dial them, while driving. evil evil). it doesnt thankfully shuffle and that will have to be my primary source of interstate driving music.

I think the SmartCar is shipped with a system for the iPod, try Googling to find some info.

A friend has an FM transmitter for his Ipod...so his car radio can 'play' the mpegs on his drive......works just fine....and is apparently fun in a 'convoy' as the FM range is not all that short...

the new 20 gig dell isn't bad at all for it's price versus size, storage, and battery life. in fact it is an immence improvement over it's predecessors which play wmas (the wma ability is nice, that's a very nice format).. however i stuck with the iPod for it's known stability and warrenty, size, weight, and compatability. i can use it as a pseudo-pda, and as a harddrive if need be.

jafo, my gf has the iTrip.. i'm not fond of it.. it's still only radio quality (in addition to using compressed digital files) and you are at the mercy of signal interference. although it has a wide range of fm stations, in my area even when using the couple stations that aren't taken commercially, you run into interference (with other ipods, too!).

naw, i'll stick with just jacking it in and getting the best quality
