maybe I should add that I want someone that will work for free. This is a side project, while I do intend on it being quality, I do not have any money to spare.

I can understand that you don't want to spend money on a project but as most designers have enough inspiration and will probably prefer to work out their own idea's it might be a good choice to hire a designer.
In the last couple of months we had several requests here but as far as I can remember, non of them was completed or only even accepted. just to let you know.
