That pesky All Programs button...

Anyone know how to kill the mouseover color for the All Programs menu? I thought that I masked it by changing the background highlight color to match the green but some users are still getting things like this:

Any help is much appreciated.

ill answer it anyways...

Just make two same sized images, one for the background and one for the arrow
Ex: the size of the "area" is 150X40, then make two images that size.
The image for the arrow will have three states, just make the "hover" and "click" states the same.
Once the images have been assigned tweak the "left content margin" of the background so that the arrow will be covering all of the background - thus giving you either the hover efftec you want, or no hover effect at all
(all three states of the arrow = the same = no hover effect)

I've done that for the default sub-style. This arrow is for non-english users. Since "All Programs" is in different languages, it pushes the "arrow" over.

I think that is caused from the user having an older version of WindowBlinds and probably nothing can be done, short of the user upgrading to the current build of WB.

FM double-check the Menu - Hilighted background (XP Only) is actually set, not just the color, but the RGB values as well, SKS is funny that way sometimes. If they are, then NightTrain pointed out in a thread that if the user just re-applies the skin the colors will correct themselves to the colors the skin calls for.

If you want to see an interesting way of getting rid of the pesky background color forever and actually being able to skin that button, look at my Just Push Play WB skin at GUI Olympics.

He knows how to do that, but it doesnt work for different fonts, or for other languages.

Thanks for the tips, all. I think pictoratus may be right about the older versions of WB. I've contacted the the users who sent me the issue and hopefully that will solve it.
