Folder is empty? HELP!

Folder is empty? HELP!

Hi,

I am new here...
Ummm...
I am having trouble downloading skins for Windowblinds.
Before, I would download, and when it had finished, a popup notification would tell me that a skin had been added.
I would go to my control panel, display, and there it was.
Now, I go to control panel, display, and it is not there with the others.
I go looking for it, and when I fine the folder in the Objectdesktop:Windowblinds file, it has a folder listed, but it tells me Folder is empty!
So, where did the information go that I spent 5 minutes waiting for it to download.
I have no idea what changes I might have made on my computer that would cause this...
Any ideas?

Ok, ummm...let me see...

yrag: When I try to download skins from the Wincustomize site, everything seems normal, but when it is done, it no longer tells me that a new skin has been downloaded.
Then, when I go to control panel: Display: there are several "tabs"(if we are talking about the little labels at the top).
I don't see one for windowblinds, but there is a button lower...doesn't seem to do anything now...
Anyway, I see Themes, Desktop, Screensaver, Appearance, Suites, Settings...
Those are the only tabs I see at the top.
Usually what I would do, is click on appearance, and that would give me a drop down menu(windows & buttons)of skins downloaded, I would find the one I wanted and choose it, and bingo!
Now, the ones I downloaded before are there, but the ones I have tried to download lately are not there.
When I look for them, I find them under program files\object desktop\windowblinds
When I would click on the file, it would tell me that the folder is empty.
Recently I tried again, and everything seems to be in the folder, size 17.2 MB...
Still it is not making it to the control panel so I can use it!
I don't know...I must have mad my computer mad at some point in the last few months!

OK..first of all re-read #14....you shouldn't have a folder program files\object desktop\windowblinds. Having said that, if and when you get things straightened out per that post, when you find a skin you want to download, right click on it and click on 'Save Target As' and save to a temp folder. Double click on the saved file and it will install. Open Display Properties and it will be there. BTW: you don't need to go thru Display to apply WB skins....just open wbconfig.exe.

Still working on it...
Having some trouble getting all the old stuff uninstalled...
Don't have a lot of time to work on it right now, but hope to get everything done soon.
May have more questions...stay tuned.

UPDATE:

Well, it's getting better, but still not perfect...
I can now download skins!
YEAH!
They go where I want them to and everything!!!
Still some bugs...I am not sure if it is the skin or something else...I will play around with it...
Also, when I download cursors for CursorXP...I have to do some copy/paste to get the file to open in the Theme file...
I need to work that out...
A question about a skin, if I may...
Windowblind: BXSilverWB...
The start menu looks funky in a few places, a little out of line...and when I try to open it full screen, it messes up and I can't work with it...is that me, or is that the skin?
Just didn't know if anybody else had that problem...
Well, I am going to keep pushing buttons, and see what happens...thanks to everyone for all the help.
