Deep in the bowels of the ANZAC laboratories, I have been reflecting on the recent troll incursion and trying to develop antidotes and defences. Then, I realised that the way to defeat trolls is to simply offer that which they do not.
I have simply dropped this note in to say how much I appreciate the attitude of Stardock and the many board contributors; I enjoy the banter, stories, expertise and wisdom on and off topic that I see here. I have been computer gaming for 20 years, and readily get sick of boards that degenerate into "I am hAx0r l33t, I ownz joo" - I'm sure many of you have seen this over the years. This, in the end, is what kills trolls - the ability of a community, even a 'virtual' one, to develop an enjoyable hobby in a mutually supportive way and share a few laughs along with it. Even if it's a couple of thousand people out of six billion scattered over the globe. So.....thanks.
And just in case anyone thinks I am going soft....I have managed to develop quite a few new toys in the lab while I have been here....muhahahahaha........
