Desktop Drive Detection

What do you need to downlaod so when you put a CD in the CD-Rom drive it shows up on the desktop, aswell as having the hard drives on the Desktop too?

Check the DesktopX libraries...most likely someone has created an object that does that for you

Sysmetrix themes do that too. Look at the library on the left, and the program to make them run is at the top of the library page. Sysmetrix is free too.

hmm still having trouble, below is ane xample of what i want.

See the top right and left of teh screen, showing the drives and cd-rom drives. I want these exact pmes, what do i need to do and where can i find this specific spin, whoever can tell me , gets a shiny penny!

Moore13 - top left and top right is a dx object I am working on that scans the system to enumerate existing drives then allows the user to configure which of those drives to display a representation of on the desktop. When it's all finished I will upload it to the dx object library and claim my shiny penny!
