On the Topic of ScreenShots in General?

on the topic of comments,and screen shots. I am curious..... Is there any kind of set format for the screen shots of an applied skin?
I am starting to see, a few of the WB Screenshots that do not include, any windows. I mean all that is shown is the start Menu and Taskbar area. People that comment on this are being ignored, as if it doesn't matter. I wonder because this is a bad attitude to adopt. Some folks do not have the Bandwidth, to download a skin, if they have to do so just to see how it looks, in windowed form. I mean the Start Menu is all fine and Dandy, but a window shot, shows the Min/Max buttons, Path Area at the top and general Window Frame. I think this matters to a WB Skin, as WB is the actual program, the start Menu and TaskBar was an added feature, and that is of lesser importance (IMHO.)

Just curious about this. I wonder is the screen shot process an implied standard? I imagine it to be more of an open consensus, than of a dictated, structural type of submission. Comments and suggestions are more than welcome. I just want us to keep the "little guy" in mind.

There's no 'rule' for display standard of a WB skin [or others] as such.

The more experienced skinner will try to show the skin in its entirety.....not 'just' the startbar, etc.

It's far more significant to show the actual 'window blind'....the skinning of the actual window, so anyone omitting that in the screenshot is really a bit of a twit....certainly won't be doing their skin justice...

may be it wouldn't hurt to have an unofficial faq / repository of things that folks learn.
I mean common oversights in using, and designing for the Stardock programs. Maybe for general design aesthetics, and common areas of design bugs (authors notice when designing.) Maximizing the screenshot to best give an overview of a skin. Instead of having to reinvent the wheel everytime a skin is done, this could smooth things out for beginners, or even the common designer, who just might be forgetfull. Just a way to make things a little more user friendly from US to the New folks.
