Latino, all the available game hotkeys can be found in the updated manual which you can find in the downloads page.

Um, no, that's not all of them. For one, F8 (view sector influence numbers) is missing.

Also, I think what he's asking for is a hotkey that presses the "Done" button on any of the hundreds of dialogs that GalCiv pops up all the time. If there is such a hotkey, I want to know what it is too!

thanks guys im not good at finding my own thread. What I meant is that my mouse has five keys on it and I can configure them. Two default as well as the wheel that leaves three I can set. (I found out the hot keys on the surviver guide.) I configured one key to shift one to control and one to escape. Now every time I want to go to the next turn I just press the appropriate key on my mouse -enter-. If I want to select a lot of ships on the screen I just press two keys on the mouse and drag -shift and left mouse button. If I want to clear the done items or dialog I can press a key on the mouse -esc- this one doesnt work perfectly however clears only certain things. I must confess without this mouse I would have put my head thru the screen already. Sorry Im so late with this.

The esc button seems to do that for me.

Actually, that only does a subset of the 'default enter' type keys, and has the other effect of taking you to the options menu.

The UI for GalCiv is among the worst, no, it is the worst of any game I've played in the past three years. It's not that it's not useable, but there's way too many things you have to use the mouse for that should be hotkeyed, and things that are hotkeyed that make little sense to have hotkeyed, and on top of it all, no ability to customize hotkeys. I've internalized it all by this point so I don't notice the klunk factor, but it's there to be sure.
