I've always thought the design of the board was at fault and stand by it. Its so far removed from the basic design of message boards that people on average cannot follow it. It is helpful to have a separate help board, but then if you click to go to the Message Board there is not a choice to be made for which board you wish to visit. You are dumped on the General one and it as assumed that a user will see the others across the top, which do not stand out one bit from surrounding text. Being in an enclosed table does not make them stand out, it makes them seem separate.
Those who come here a lot can find the other boards, its the new users who cannot because of poor design.
So I guess this discussion is all moot though as the updated site whenever it appears will hopefully address this issue.

I didn't see the help message board until this thread started. I'm with ya GhoS.

I understand people new to the boards not seeing the different sections, but the regulars that know they exist refusing to use them tends to bug me. I'll help new people that ask for help in the General sections, but if someone's been here a while.....................

Correction. When I run Stardock there is a Help board that is easily seen. I have received help on that board numerous times. That board now links to the Wincustomize help mb and maybe always did. But when I run the Wincustomize website, I never saw the help board. Didn't know it was there, probably because of the layout.

I'm with Koasati...I tend to ignore help request on the general board and hit the help board instead...not that I'm much help tho
