please remove

if you are not scared to tinker with the Windows Registry you can do a search there, for the Name of the Add and remove Description of the Alienware package.
once you find it's refference then right click on it and export the registry key (this is incase a problem happens you just double click what you exported and it get put back in the registry.) Once that is done then delete the key you exported. Close the registry and open add/ remove programs and it sould be gone.

2. I didnt know it was an executable either. It seems wrong but I am not going to make a big fuss over it. I just want it OUT of my programs list. The themes are gone but the installer remains.

3. Its a nice theme but there are much better for my taste.

Thanks for the advise cygnusXII but I wont be meesing with the registry anytime soon. If TSF is watching, I would appreciate some help getting it out of my computer.

Probably has to do with the windows Media Player Installaion routine, or something.
Maybe using a proper installer, they have better control over how the Suite is deployed.
It's amazing how much support that set of suites is getting from WC. Wondering who is paying the bills on that one?

If you want to remove theme manager, delete the program folder. There is a unwise.exe in the theme manager folder. You can use that to uninstall it. After that didn't work, I just erased the folder. Then, I went to Add and Remove Programs and clicked the Theme Manager there. Then, it gave me the old familar "an error exists, the associated program was already removed, would you like to Delete it from add and remove too? Of course I clicked yes. Program gone, problem solved.

I have to download this skin suite to see for myself. I was just waiting because... not sure why, the 40mb download made me lazy or something (I am on DSL and it would have only taken like 6 minutes)

ChasUGC, I misread your post. Click on my name and look at my current desktop. You will see the program I am trying to remove. Was this what you meant?

AlienGUIse is linked to Theme Manager. I don't think that deleting AlienGUIse did anything to remove the listings from Add and Remove Program. Somehow, it just didn't want to uninstall itself. I don't even think there was a Theme Manger listing in A&R Programs. If there is, give it a try too. I remember that I had to delete the Theme Manager program folder. Then, the listing could be removed from A&R Programs. I then had to reinstall Winstyles because theme manager always breaks it, I also had to reinstall windowblinds because theme manager broke the link to winstyles for it too. Theme Manager doesn't replace Winstyles, it just breaks it.

That worked ChasUGC. Uninstall theme manager, then I get the error notice, click yes and its gone. Just have to reinstall thememanager now. Thanks for the help.

Some programs for some reason continue to show the program in the Add/Remove Programs list, even when the program hass been uninstalled.

There is an amazing utility called X-Setup that gives you access to hundreds of hidden Windows tweaks. If you're into Windows customization, I do recommend downloading it. It's quite easy to use and has pretty good desriptions of what the settings are. One of X-Setup's tweaks allows you to remove programs from the Add/Remove list, expand the System folder, then Sotware installation, then Add/Remove Programs.  There are tons and tons of useful (or less useful but still cool) options. Try it, it's free.

Note: X-Setup does make changes to your registry, but it does it in a rather safe and easy way. A backup is always created and you can always return to the default configuration from the Option menu.  If you're really scared you'd break something, run it in "Safe mode" (File menu -> Safe Mode), this way it will ask you to confirm for every action that could possibly have a risk of somewhat messing up something.  But then again, there is always the restore option if you do. Anyway, I think it's a very handy utility and is worth taking a look.
