new user - what do i do wrong???

Hi guys,
just registered and already got a question. If I understood it correctly I should be able to download at least a limited number of objects, themes etc. FOR FREE. Is that correct? If yes, I successfully downloaded and installed DESKTOP X and now want to test-download some DesktopX themes. However, it does not work as each time I want to download any of the themes it gives me a corrupted zip.file comment.
Do I have to pay after all in order to get even only one theme to try out or do I do something wrong.

No, you should be able to download up to 50 Megs for free. Tell us what theme you are trying to download, and we'll chek if the zip is corrupted.

is it the issue I heard about where if you have SP2 installed, windows downloads the *.dxtheme file and renames it to *.zip?

if the file you are downloading has a *.zip extension, try renaming it to *.dxtheme and see if that installs when you double click it

If you download a theme and you don't get all of it, your system will continue to give you the same corrupt download until you wipe the internet cache of the corrupt download and then redownload it.
