It's the flag in the top right of Explorer. You can now change it to anything you want... (throbbing or not...)

I have been wondering if that flag has any function other than decoration?

I don't know if you've noticed, but when a page is opening the flag is animated...hence 'throbber'

Yeah, I've noticed that.  Is that all?  I usually keep my eye on the status bar...  but its nice to have a choice.

I remember that Neoplanet used to have really neat throbbers.  And Stardock used to have web blinds... that had throbbers.

They were cool I really missed them when they were gone.

I made my throbbers go away...they always ruined the look of my toolbars(menubar) You can see the difference if you look at the ss's of my WB's.Rogue blue was done with no throbber and all the others have that eyesore ms flag.

this webpage has a way to remove it. Link http://toastytech.com/evil/lab.html#throboff
Even tho it claims to be for win98,it worked perfect on winXP.There are 2 reg entries to be clicked in the zip file.I didnt even have to unzip them(self-installing,no reboot),then just reset your views the way you want them.My toolbars look fantastic!(the way I designed them)
