applying the themes/installing., im stuck.

ive downloaded a few of the themes/icons etc. i need to know how to use them. ive got like theme manager and everything.
when i have downloaded a theme or skin:

1. where do i extract it to?
2. how do i get it showing on the theme manager?
3. in general, how do i get it up and running properly?

any help wouldbe much appreciated, ta

ps. a step by step guide would be much appreciated, so i can do it easily

eg 1. extract to....
2. go to...

etc

For most of the libraries you need an application which you can download by following the link available at the top of each respective library. In case you are going to be using a lot of libraries, it would be a better idea to get Object Desktop which contains all of those programs and much more and makes available all of the upgrades for each product.
 
Downloads are easy once you get the applications installed. Either just download the skin to a folder and click on the icon, or select *open* when you download. The skin knows where to go.

Maybe I answered that wrong.  If you want to install an entire suite through theme manager, you must have installed on your computer the application that applies each skin.  For example, if the suite includes windowblinds, icons, cursors, sysmetrix, and a dx object or two you need to have each of those applications installed on your computer.  It has been awhile since I used theme manager.....
