Loading Suites

Hi there! I have a question regarding the loading of a new suite theme from the Theme Manager. Everytime I download the new files & it finishes loading it, it closes down DesktopX which I want to stay loaded so it'll work with the new theme. Then when I reopen it (DesktopX), it always reloads the last DesktopX theme I was using (which I don't want it to do because it messes up the new theme!) How can this be avoided? Thanks,
Deed

Okay, in Theme Manager Settings, on the general tab, it says that it unloads DesktopX if the new theme doesn't use it. Is there any way to override that?

To get this straight. You are trying to use a suite but the desktop x theme you want to use is not part of the suite. There is a DX theme with the suite but you want to use another one instead.

Assuming I have this correct, you would need to create a new suite with all the parts you want to use, meaning the DX theme you want to use would need to be part of that suite. Or you can individually run the themes you want and not use theme manager. Not sure about the DX overrides. You can choose to run DX or not when applying a suite. I uninstalled Theme manager so I dont know about other options.

Theme Manager has always seemed really buggy to me and I don't use it. I would uninstall it, and download Winstyles instead. It is a free download. It is strange that in the suites directory, the download for installing and using suites is Winstyles, not Theme Manager. I hear a lot of problems with people using Theme Manager, none with Winstyles.

Just copy your suites out of the directory before you uninstall it.
