Uploaded, then it disappears

This is about the 3rd time in a row this has happened to me...I upload my wallpapers and go to my skins and they say waiting for approval...then a couple hours later they disappear. They are the same style and quality of my other wallpapers so there shouldn't be an acceptance issue.

Is there something wrong with the server?

No....what 'can' happen is there is a flood of 'similarly' generated works so not all are accepted....

well then there is no use in me using this service anymore...anyone who works in Apophysis knows that is isn't easy to make these...The really good ones aren't just random..There is a lot of time going into tweaking the triangulation and working with scripts.

People constantly ask when I'm going to upload again on here...I'll just tell them I can't because they look to "similar" for the administration so it won't be accepted...such a shame...well at least I can upload on ThemeXP without problems.

Personally I think the white is over flared.

No-one is assured of having all their submissions accepted.

It's called 'moderation', and walls in particular are moderated.

Once it was an over-abundance of Bryce renders....now it's becoming Aphothesis generations.

Eventually, without some control/limitation Wincustomize would be inundated with them....

Moderation is not just about quality. It's also about database content. One of the aims is to keep the database balanced with a good mix of different styles and looks, and of course quality.

Don't be discouraged by having a wall rejected. It doesn't necessarily mean the quality was substandard. As Jafo pointed out, there is starting to be a flood on Apophysis renders and more and more will probably be rejected in order to keep a good balance of styles.

To be honest, it looks "generated" ........... as in, "I've seen various versions of this 100's of times"
Please understand, you're not being picked on, all submissions must go through the moderation process. If you must have everything thing you submit, accepted, then you are correct about needing to upload to sites that accept everything.

Another thing that is looked at is if the piece actually makes a good wallpaper.  Typically, blown out white areas are found to be quite distracting, so they don't make a good wallpaper.  What people may see as art does not always equal good wallpaper.  When flooded with Apophysis generated walls (and it's getting easy to recognize them) we simply can't accept all of them.

Here's my opinion about it:
It looks ok for a general piece of art - but no way in a hot place would I EVER use it as a desktop wallpaper - too busy

I once said this about Bryce renders, and it's just as valid about Apophysis:  a good Apophysis-based wallpaper would be one that you can't tell what software it was made with (or by).  If one can look at it and say "Oh, this is a nice Apophysis render", then it will be rejected.  One must look at it and say "OMG! I can't believe this was made using Apophysis!", only then will you be able to say YOU made the work, not the software.

When it was a new thing, I guess we got caught off-guard and already let too many in, but as we are getting more and more flooded with these, action must be taken.
