How to install a desktop x theme into desktop x

Open the DX program itself. then, when the little program window opens, click on "load".
A new window will open, at the bottom of which are a bunch of buttons. One of those buttons is the "browse" button. Click that and navigate to the file you want to load. Select your file, and click "open"


...It's now loaded into the DX program, and you can apply it...

Sorry... make sure it's the "load" button on the right, under "themes" ...not "objects"

Just double-click the theme and it loads itself.

Thank you for your information. Actually I have already done exactly what you informed me. But when I applied the desktop theme as you told me I got message "Loading New Theme" for long time. It means that the theme has not been loaded yet. Using the sama procedure I did not have any difficulty to apply object. I am using P4 1.6 GH, Windows XP Pro, 512 MB memory. Again thank you.

Perhaps you just got a bad download?

Try deleting all references to that particular theme, and re-downloading it. Unzip it to somewhere easy to find (desktop) and double click to apply the theme.

If the method described above, and in my other post dont work ...then I'll have to leave this for someone else to help you with it. (Your pc specs are fine)

Also, if you are having trouble with one particular theme, it is always best to tell us which one it is, that way we can check if it's the same for everyone.
