Distorted screenshot dimensions?

After experiencing the "squished screenshot dilema", I was wondering if anyone knows whether this is an issue that will be addressed by WC staff, or whether one needs to upload certain dimensions to prevent the distortion.

I uploaded a 1280x1024 screenshot which definitely has issues.

Part #2 of this question would be "Is this contained to the screenshots library only, or does this happen in all library uploads?".
