How the heck am I supposed to register?

Registered at strategy first via the start menu link. Hour later, no email. So I redid it with a different email address. Long time passes, still no email to confirm or finish registration by actually entering my serial...

I have seen people talking about registering via stardock.com or wincustomize.com but I can not find any way to do so. In the few instances I find something about galciv it just links back here to galciv.com ... so how do I register so I can get patches and the like without resorting to illegal file shares? o.O

Have you installed Stardock Central, Bug Underfoot?

When I try to register at the Metaverse page I get:

"Registration Failed: You have entered an invalid serial number."

Which is why I'm thinking I have to follow this link from the email that I've read about in other forum posts. Except that doesn't help when I don't have an email at all. I don't know which site actually spawns the email... obviously it's not Strategy First's site unless its server is horribly slow since I've tried several different email addresses at this point. So where do I go to actually register and get my emailed link that I can follow?

I haven't installed Stardock Central because I understand that costs quite a bit of money on its own, and all I want is GalCiv.

Are you talking about purchasing Galciv or have you already purchased it?

No, I think you probably bought it. Stardock Central program is free. Download it in the Downloads page. U will need it to register Galciv.

Your problem seems more to be an invalid serial number. Do a search on the forum using those keywords.
There are some posts addressing that. I heard it is easy to mix i,l and 1 up in the serial.

Are you the original owner, or did you purchase your copy second hand? If the serial number has been registered under a different email address it cannot be registered a second time.

Try changing Os to 0s and things like that. The font that they used for the CD keys is dreadful...
