Autopilot of ship lost if another ship colonizes a planet

Since I only had one ship on autopilot I can not say whether others would loose autopilot as well.

The only ship types I had on autopilot when this happened were colony ships and defenders. It happened
to both types.

Do you mean alien ships can affect your autopilot?

I think he means (correct me if I'm wrong, Jack) that he had a colony ship on auto-pilot heading for a star. When he got there, it had already been colonized and so the ship stopped, its destination cancelled. This is normal behavior, because otherwise your ship would get stuck under the star and all sorts of lovely bugs happen.

No Cari, What I see is that when I colonize a planet one ship on autopilot will drop out of autopilot. Its
destination still shows where it was going. I have not been autocolonizing. I send a colony ship to a spot next
to the target star, not into the star. With several colony ships on autopilot, a ship will reach its destination
next to a star I wish to colonize and stop. Then I manaully move it onto the star and colonize a planet. Then
a ship drops off of autopilot. I am not sure, but I am suspicious that the ship that looses autopilot is the
next ship that would receive control if it was not on autopilot. I have colonized planets and had a ship
selected that was not on autopilot and not have any ships loose autopilot. Sort of: "done with this ship now
lets work with the next one" without the check "is this one on autopilot, if so go to the next one and ...".
