Stardock and Dregin.net questions

I bought my GC from Best Buy, I've only played a few times and I like it (although it would be nice to have a score like 'Ray the Wanderer', but I can't complain) My question concerns updates and expansion packs. I know that once you buy the game you don't have to pay to buy anything else (that was at least the impression that I was under) but where exactly do I find the updates and expansions? Because if its at Drengin.net I am expected to pay the $30 to become apart of that? Or what and where do I find the updates and expansions that are otherwise free?

go to http://www.galciv.com/download.asp and download Stardock Central. It's free. That will give you the most current update. The expansion is not due out until later.

Some people find Stardock's method of upgrading a bit confusing. Actually it's pretty simple once you get the hang of it, it just seems hard at first because it's different than the standard method. If you have any other quesions regarding the process don't get too discouraged. Just post back to this thread and you'll get lots of help! Happy gaming!
