Since we just saw the first person to break 100,000 points in the metaverse last night (Staffa, by the way, with 101,294 points, with RayTheWanderer just 30 points shy of 100,000). we should now place bets as to what Empire will break 1,000,000 points first. As of right now, the scores of the top three Empires are:

G.R.O.S.S.......................861269.2 (needs 138730.8)
Fellowship of the Ring..........840491.2 (159508.8)
Mid-Western Confederation.......717205.3 (282794.7)

this is going to be a kinda hard bet, since they all need over a hundred thousand points to break a million, and all 3 empires are pretty successfull in getting new players. my guess will have to be G.R.O.S.S., mainly because i didnt like The Lord of the Rings book, and I fell asleep during the movie :(

i did it! i was right for both bets i placed! i was correct that Staffa would reach 100,000 first, and that G.R.O.S.S. would reach 1,000,000 first!

now i have to think of a more difficult bet now, how about betting on what the empire lineup will be on Sun August 10th at 11:59 PM for the top 5 empires? or maybe betting on what the players in position 4,5 and 6 to see who will reach 1 million first? anyways, this will require some thought, i will have to study the metaverse some more before i can come up with a good bet.

did you notice that our empire actually went up a notch during the race even though no one submitted a game? im not sure how much we moved up or when, but we did move up to 13th place. im guessing that some people from the empires that are not in the big 3, but ahead of our empire, got recruited into one of the big 3 empires. i dont know what empire(s) fell below ours, but im pretty sure the illuminati did move up a spot.

Hey Hairy, the Rabid Rob Space Casino Module will be happy to negotiate almost any odds for when the Illuminati get to a million, but if you read the fine print, the current members will still have to be the majority of the empire at the time of achieving this grand feat! ;)

An interesting side bet, by the way, is on whether the GROSS or Fellowship will be able to keep that million. ;p

ps. anyone feel like joining the "Illuminati"??? if you look at the metaverse at only the empires that have 3 or less people in it, we are actually in 1st place! LOL

the Gonegolders empire is an empire no one hears about anymore, i really wonder why they have so many people with a "0" score. maybe 99 is the limit to the number of members in an empire, if so, they should deleat all the 0's to make room for active players.

wow, we do! i wasnt expecting that.
the names kinda funny, namely since his name is "Tikatt", and in the city where i live in, there is a cfl football team named the "tiger cats", and everyone calls them "TiCats" for short. this city is pretty big about its teams too, so you hear people saying "TiCat" everywhere. now every time i hear hear someone say "TiCat", im going to think of "Tikatt", our new recruit. LOL

Hey, I would be very happy if the Illuminati upgraded themselves from "near dead" to a contender. Looks like that is happening already. Now, if only we knew what made the Illuminati tick. Ever thought about what your role would be besides a name and a number on the score board?

And I agree with my esteemed colleague Kit. Getting your thread crashed by GROSS is a right of passage. So make a real thread so we can crash it! ;)

"Near dead"? I would never have considered us "near dead".

Also, if you know your history, you would know that the illuminati has been a force for hundreds of years in human history. Formed sometime in the 17th or 18th century, the illuminati has been guiding the actions of countries since they were formed and continues to do it to this day.

Problem: the original Illuminati had five people. Not that I am doubting your obviously well-earned placement in the Metaverse so far, but how can you take over the Freemasons, the UN, the world, and even the Metaverse without at least five people? Try harder! :)

well, we did have about 10,000 members in 1970, but now we have just 4 members -almost all the positions became obsolete due to computers LOL
